Limited Edition Fine Art Print

20% of the price of each drawing will be donated to Sidney to support current and future students during their time at the college.

Architectural pencil drawing of Chapel Court at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. Available in two sizes, framed or unframed.

History

Sidney was founded in 1596 by Landy Frances Sidney, Countess of Sussex, with the first three-sided court designed by Ralph Symons in 1595-8. The south side of Chapel Court was built in c. 1628, and joined to Hall Court by the Chapel and ante-Chapel in 1780. The exterior of Chapel Court that we see today is a Gothic remodelling by Sir Jeffrey Wyatville in 1821-33. The Chapel remains a much-loved focal point of the college.
